The Productive Use of Renewable Energy in Africa

This paper addresses the need for reliable energy access for businesses to enable the productive use of clean energies. It focuses on the benefits of the productive use of renewable energy, highlights lessons and challenges, and formulates recommendations. In addition, case studies from nine African countries, showing promising ways to engage in rural developing areas are presented.
