GET.pro Evaluation 2025

The external evaluation, conducted at the end of 2025, assessed GET.pro 2.0’s achievements using the OECD/DAC criteria. In particular, it highlighted the programme’s relevance, impact, and efficiency. The evaluators conclude that “GET.pro is a high-performing and high-impact programme that successfully advances renewable energy markets by enabling higher renewable-energy integration through power-sector reforms, strengthens governance systems, mobilises investment, and deepens energy cooperation in Africa and Latin America. (…) GET.pro is a critical strategic asset for the EU Global Gateway”.

SDG-Model on the Effects of a Green Hydrogen Economy

This study employs systemic modelling to project the impact of a green hydrogen economy on achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Brazil, Namibia and South Africa. Four simulated scenarios explore the role of green hydrogen in these countries’ national development by 2050, assessing interdependencies and potential impacts. Further scenarios can also be simulated using the tool.
