Vocational Training for Renewable Energy in Africa. Developing the next generation of energy professionals. Paper adapted from a study of the Africa-EU Renewable Energy Cooperation Programme

This publication assesses the status quo and the need for technical and vocational education and training (TVET) for renewable energy in Africa. It sheds light on the technical skills required in the sector and how they vary according to technology (e.g. hydropower, PV, geothermal) and type of application (e.g. small off-grid household system), and recommendations when providing training.
